A former journalist for publications like The Chicago Tribune and The Denver Post, Delaney turned to writing fiction. He has been published in journals such as The Atlantic, and anthologies such as Best American Short Stories, The O. Henry Awards and Making Literature Matter. He has published a collection of short stories, The Drowning, and the novels Warp & Weft, Broken Irish and Follow The Sun. His new collection of stories and novellas, The Big Impossible, will be published in September 2019.
Delaney is a professor in Creative Writing at Roger Williams University, and the Editor in Chief of Mount Hope.
